Why Your Social Media Posts Aren’t Booking You More Clients & What To Do Instead

I wanted to give you guys some tips today on how to actually start booking clients through social media.

Now, I know that probably all photographers, or at least a lot of photographers, are posting on social media. You maybe have a Facebook group, or a business page, or a personal page, or all of those, and no one is booking. It might feel like, “Oh, my gosh. I'm working so much. I'm spinning my wheels so much, and no one is booking.”

Here's the thing. I don't see a lot of you guys actually asking for the booking. I see a lot of posts that are really great and engaging. You might be telling stories, which is good. You might be telling your story, or client stories, or just playing a fun game that relates to your brand and your mission and your business.

But, at the end, you have to actually give them a call to action to take, the CTA, right? The call to action. You need to say, “Hey, if you enjoyed this, then I would love to get you more information about a photo shoot. Even if you're on the fence, just click the link below to sign up and get your dream shoot planner,” or whatever magazine or freebie thing that you offer your customers. Really do that call to action.

Don't be afraid to ask them to sign up for your email list.

Don't be afraid to ask them to sign up to ManyChat.

Don't be afraid to ask them to book a shoot with you.

Hey, maybe at the end of one of your social media posts or a video or something like that, you could say, “Listen, for anyone who gets in touch and books a shoot in the next three days, I'm going to gift you XYZ or you're going to get $100 off your shoot,” or whatever that may be.

Don't be afraid to do calls to action. That is where I see the number-one way that people are falling down is that they're posting, and they're posting, and they're posting, and they're never actually asking their customers' likes, followers, fans to actually take action.

Comment below, “Action,” if you are ready to create posts that have calls to action!
