I wanted to share with you one simple hack on how to get more done in your photography business in less time. That is what I like to call, “batch working.” For example, right now I am creating a bunch of really helpful videos for you guys and I put them out every single day, but I'm not actually sitting here recording them every single day. I record 80 videos at a time for every quarter of my business.
What I would like you to do is to batch work. An example of this is let's say you do five sessions a week, and you devote one day where you edit all of those sessions. Now, batch working can also include batching all of your social media posts for one month, two months, three months and then scheduling in them Buffer, or using Meet Edgar to pull posts and post them automatically. Another great example is doing all of your clerical work and emails at the same time.
I really want you to batch out your day. Otherwise what happens is you're on Facebook, you're checking emails, you're on the phone and you're recording for social media. You're doing all these different things, and it's actually taking you a lot more time because you're not doing it all in one swoop where you're turned on and 100% engaged in that task. Multi-tasking will absolutely be the death of your business.
