Learn My Favorite Lenses For Portraits

Do you ever struggle with knowing what lenses to use in your portrait photography?

I've been a photographer for over ten years, and I've been shooting specifically boudoir for about six or seven.  During that time, I have played around with a ton of different lenses, and I wanted to share with you guys what my favorite lenses are.

My favorite lenses right now are my 50 millimeter, my 85 millimeter and my 35 millimeter.  I personally choose to shoot with Nikon brand lenses called NIKKOR. If you shoot with Canon, they make all of those lenses as well and are called Prime lenses, but they don't zoom or anything like that.

I find that for portraiture, they give the best look. Actually, about 95% of the time, I use my 50 millimeter (If you're curious, that is a 1.4 lens, but you can start with a 1.8.)  You can get it used on B&H for about $99.

I hope you found this helpful to know what lenses to use for portraiture.
