Let’s chat really quick about Facebook ad strategy. If you are familiar with Facebook ads (you’ve gone into the manager or the power editor to build an ad), this is going to be a great strategy for you. If you are brand new to Facebook ads, then I would urge you to also try this strategy. But first, I would suggest you build an ad and play around with it so that you can get used to it.
Just using your cell phone, I want you to make a video every day for about a week on your Facebook business page. I want you to talk about why you got started as a photographer or why you think everyone should do a shoot with you. Do a video around that every single day. Think about it. Who are the people who are going to be watching those videos? Potential customers, right?
About a week after you post the video, I want you to go in and build a Facebook ad. The one tip that I want to give you today is in the audience manager. When you’re building your ad, you can select to ONLY show that ad to those people who have watched your videos on your Facebook business page. This is going to reduce your conversion costs dramatically! It will only target the people who are already warmed up and interested in your services.
When you create that Facebook ad, with say a deal on a photo shoot if you book by a certain date, you’re going to get a much better rate of booking. Your cost per ad is going to be a lot lower! Easy enough, right?
