How To Ensure Your Photography Brand Stays High-End & Consistent

I wanted to talk with you about how you can insure that your photography brand stays high-end and your branding stays consistent. The number one way to do that is to create a branding board.  What is a branding board?  What is it used for?  How can you create one?  

A branding board is a board that has all of your branding essentials on it: your fonts, your colors, any imagery, etc.  That way if you hire a designer, work with a different designer in the future or if you’re the one doing the designing, those people or you can stay consistent with the brand. Making sure that things stay consistent is the only way that your brand is going to look high-end, I promise you.

So here is how to create one:

  • It can be document size (8 ½ x 11)
  • You can use Photoshop or a similar program
  • Pick about five different colors that you want to use for your branding colors
  • Then you want to pick out three to five fonts (three is preferred)  
  • Pick any imagery that you want

I remember that I always thought my brand wasn’t good enough. I was constantly changing everything.  It would have looked high-end if I had just stuck with one thing and stayed consistent. That’s why you need a branding board.  You want to create this document and stick to it because that’s what’s truly going to create the high-end consistency in your brand.
