What’s the MOST important thing to have for your business before the New Year?
. . . a PLAN!!!
Plain and simple, you need a plan to set your business up for success in 2015. Would you plan a trip to the Sahara desert without a map of where you were going to go, what you were going to eat, how you’d get through successfully? I think not.
If you want your business to succeed, you need to know step by step how you’re going to achieve your goals before January 1st rolls around.
Everyone’s plan is different, but they are all devised through education, with organizational resources and the appropriate tools.
To give you the inspiration, I’ve put together 8 resources to help you where you’re at with your business planning for 2015.
- Boudoir Business Camp
Boudoir Business Camp is a 4-week online pricing & business course for boudoir photographers. This course will help you learn how to price your photography, define your goals, decipher who your ideal client is, how you can reach her, determine your products and price list, and help you follow through for success. Boudoir Business Camp is 40% off now through December 31st 2014! As soon as you enroll you will have immediate access to the course, to learn more about Boudoir Business Camp, click [HERE].
Do you need help getting organized? Asana is a FREE web and mobile application that assists you in creating, scheduling, and delegating tasks. I cannot tell you how much Asana has helped me over the past year to lower my stress levels. I never have to worry about forgetting to do something, and it’s also helped me to be more productive since I always have a list of things that need to be done in order of priority. You can use this as a single person, or, share tasks and calendars with a team. If you’re not using Asana, sign up today! It’s free and easy to use.
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that it’s one thing to make a “successful” income in boudoir photography, but it is an entirely different thing to use that income wisely. Financial advisor David Bach’s book “Smart Women Finish Rich” talks about spending money wisely and how to set yourself up for financial security, even with an unsteady income. This book really changed the way I handle my income, and I would highly recommend reading it!
